Excessive Migration

Internal migration is very common nowadays. People move from one part of the country to another. Due to urbanization and advancement, people are attracted to urban areas. People move to towns for education, employment and trade. The outlying areas of the country have become comparatively lass populated. The terai belt has been invaded during the last two or three decades form the people of the hill areas and also from India. In this way, big towns like Kathmandu, pokhara, tansen and the terai region as a whole have become over population. Whereas, the hill areas and the outlying northern borders have dearth of skilled human power. Due to international migration, a lit of problems have come up in town areas. Insufficient drinking water, lack of sanitation, problems of housing and the rise of crimes are the ones that our cities have been facing. The fertile land of the valleys and terai region have been occupied by houses and the green forest of terai which is called ‘Charkose Jhadi’ is being cleared to house the increasing population. This causes environmental disbalance.
